Last Decade Album Launch
Thank you so much to everyone who came down to celebrate the launch of my very first album, Last Decade of Love. It was a really special gig and not really somewhere I thought I'd ever end up.
I've said before, music was a wildcard for me and if you'd told me 5 years ago I'd be releasing my first album, playing it live with a full 8-piece band, I never would have believed it. I've worked incredibly hard to write this album and record it over the past 2 years, and it was such a privilege to celebrate it finally being out in the world with some excellent musicians and a beautiful attentive audience.
There were many wonderful things about Friday, but I think my favourite might have been the towering TSARZI cake, frosted in on-brand TSARZI colours, that my friend Nikki turned up 'by accident' (accidental cake baking is a real problem in the South Yorkshire region).
I can't tell you how special I felt cutting a cake with my name on it in my colours next to a stack of my albums after singing that album live, but here is a photo that I hope encapsulates the emotion in the room. (And should you want your own accidental baking, I thoroughly recommend Nikki's Kitchen Bakery).
What this means of course, cake antics aside, is that the album is now very officially OUT THERE and you can listen to it to your heart's content.
You can stream on all the usual places (search Tsarzi or use the icons below).
And if you'd like one of the very beautiful CDs (sterling design work by Alex Birks), please send me a message on the website. They'll be available via Bandcamp by the end of the week, or come and catch me at a gig and buy one off me directly (comes with added bonus of a Tsarzi Conversation).
I'll post more pics and videos from the launch when they come through (and when I'm not running out the door to work), but for the moment I just wanted to post a short note to say THANK YOU to all the people that made the album possible, that came and supported on Friday, that helped to make it such a special event, and that continue to support me as I put my music out into the world.
This is, I hope, the first album launch of many.
